There is currently a large amount of trail excavation and ditching going on in the area. We have rented an excavator with Central Maine ATV club for a month. This will be used on the shared multi use trails and will hopefully reduce the rutting situations.

The unit has come from the good folks at Skowhegan Equipment and Tool Rental.
Trail Loss,,, PLEASE HELP
We are extremely close to losing a large piece of trail. Bottles, cans and general litter has upset a large landowner. Failure to stay on marked trails and the passing of no snowmobiling signs hurt as well. Off season vandalism to logging equipment just frosted the issue. To see what, if any, can be salvaged requires a trip north to this landowner for a meeting and a coordinated day off for 3 officers and the club contact.

THIS is so simple to fix, IF it is not yours, Do not mess with it. If you carry it in, carry it out and dispose of it properly.
Signing is an area that traditionally we are weak in, a concerted effort is currently underway to allieviate this issue we could use some real help with it, and a fresh eye is always a good thing for this project. We are also employing a prototype sign standard that we are in hopes will hels with signing in some harder and sensitive areas.
Tom Prentiss, Mark Poulin and Nick Bell welding on the new steel bridge deck. It is a major relef to see many new members jump right into the trails program, thanks guys!
Trailwork projects can be joined by meeting at Damons Variety at 8:00 on Sunday Mornings. Starting in September. We generally leave for the sites at 8:30
Many hands make for lighter work.
